Lunefield is ready for spring!
Fancy a last-minute Easter weekend getaway? The holidays are almost with us and we still have some availability! Kirkby Lonsdale is looking beautiful this spring, the churchyard is crammed with flowers, and we're getting ready for the warmer months.
After some wet times earlier this winter the river bank is looking gorgeous in the sunshine and the town is gearing up for some great events in the next few months.
We're particularly looking forward to the Taste Cumbria festival, in its inaugural visit to Kirkby Lonsdale, which will run over the Easter weekend. Local producers will be setting up stall in the Market Square, including our personal fave, Kircabi Roasters. They were recently finalists in the Cumbria Life Food and Drink Awards 2017 and their home-roasted beans make the most amazing coffee. You can tell we are addicts. They'll also be doing demos in the Lunesdale Hall over the festival weekend, alongside chefs from local hotels and Kirkby's own Dales Butcher. And apparently there will be a special Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery Easter chocolate beer.
Lunefield has just been redecorated, and if you're in need of a bit of spring cheer, what better than a spot of adventuring along the Lune? (I think here this walker's mind was firmly on the Bakery Cafe gingerbread man he'd been promised, and wondering quite how far it was going to be to get it...)
If you're interested in making a booking, we still have a last minute slot for the Easter weekend, and some late April and May availability. Drop us an email!
